Route 2 is a scenic circular walk that starts and ends in Skopelos Town, making it an excellent choice for visitors who wish to explore both the island's lush landscapes and its rich spiritual tradition.

Along the way, hikers pass the picturesque chapels of Aghios Georgios, Profitis Ilias and Aghia Marina, where a traditional stone spring provides fresh drinking water throughout the year. These peaceful landmarks offer ideal spots for a short rest while experiencing the tranquil atmosphere of the island's countryside.

One of the highlights of the route is the stunning panoramic view over Skopelos Town, revealed from the higher sections of the trail. The hike also includes a visit to the historic Sotiros Monastery, one of the island's most significant monastic sites, renowned for its history, architecture, and serene setting.

The return journey passes through the densely wooded western slopes of the Palouki hill, and the old rural paths through the area of Myli. The combination of verdant landscapes, traditional rural scenery, historic chapels, and the monastery creates a rewarding hiking experience that showcases some of the finest natural and cultural treasures of Skopelos.
