Route 5A is an important connecting section of the Skopelos Trails Network. Combined with Route 5, it enables hikers to walk from Skopelos Town to the charming seaside village and beach of Agnontas, returning along the same route if desired. The trail follows a forest track through fragrant pine woods, making for a very relaxing walk.

From Agnontas, hikers may continue along a rural track to Amarantos, one of Skopelos' most iconic natural landmarks. Famous for its distinctive pine trees growing almost to the water's edge, dramatic rocky formations, and crystal-clear waters, Amarantos is one of the island's most loved coastal landscapes.
