Route 6 is the longest trail in the Skopelos Hiking Network, covering a total distance of 17.2 km with an overall ascent (elevation gain) of 1,076 metres. This challenging full-day hike rewards every effort by leading hikers through some of the island's most enchanting and unspoiled landscapes. Although intended as a complete route, it can also be enjoyed in shorter sections, while several parts are suitable for mountain biking.

The route's principal highlight is Sentoukia, the remarkable ancient rock-cut tombs of Skopelos. Perched in a dramatic location overlooking the Aegean Sea, this important archaeological site combines centuries of history with panoramic views, making it one of the island's most fascinating cultural landmarks.

Along the way, hikers have the opportunity to pause at the abandoned Monastery of Aghios Georgios, a peaceful spot ideal for a short rest before continuing through the rural countryside of the Pano Karya area. The trail then traverses the vast pine forests that blanket the heart of Skopelos, offering an immersive experience in one of the greenest islands of the Aegean.

For hikers seeking an even greater challenge, Route 6 can be combined with Route 9 (Sentoukia - Delfi - Loutraki) to create an impressive full-day traverse of Skopelos from south to north, linking the island's two ports while exploring its diverse natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
