Diakopi - Panormos

Beginning in the Diakopi area, near the centre of the island, the trail follows a gentle course through centuries-old olive groves, vineyards, orchards and dense pine forests, revealing the enduring connection between the island's inhabitants and the land.

Along the way, hikers encounter traditional stone huts-many of which have been beautifully restored as countryside homes-picturesque chapels, and historic stone springs where fresh drinking water flows throughout the year.
