Alternative Delfi

Route 9A offers hikers an easier alternative to the main Route 9 by bypassing the steep mountain ascent to Delfi peak, while still allowing them to enjoy the outstanding scenery of the area.

Instead of climbing to the summit, the route follows a scenic forest road along the mountain's north-eastern slope, winding through the extensive pine forest that blankets the hillside. Along the way, several open viewpoints offer magnificent views across the surrounding landscape and the Aegean Sea.
